5th year.

It was “Welcome to 5th year” day today. Woo. Strange, in that it started off with lectures before the actual registration lecture, where we all sign our souls away for another year. I’m slightly more at ease with the structure of the course now, though “Advanced Topics in Computing Science” is a module which runs weekly, on Mondays from 9am ’til 12noon. The joys.

I’ve spent most of today dealing with or thinking about Compsoc, in between (and indeed for many hours after) lectures. This is all in an effort to get this year’s Compsoc off the ground as quickly as possible, after the slight stumble we had getting things running last year. It looks like we’re going to manage that, too.

To add to the slight feeling of stress I know I’ll see again and again this year, I’m going to more lectures than I normally would, to figure out which elective modules I really want to take.

There was something strangely satisfying about leaving uni around 9pm having had a long day, boring at times, though fast paced. It’s funny what a course like this does to the mind…
